Location – must live or being to relocate to Illinois, Ohio, Michigan or Kansas.The Central Medicaid Division President will have profit and loss oversight driving growth, business results and management of a specific Medicaid division in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Kansas. The successful candidate will be a self-directed leader with a proven track record of success in growing and managing Medicaid businesses, including high acuity populations, in the managed care industry. This is a highly visible role across the Medicaid segment. This role requires the highest degree of integrity and ability to engage and influence at the senior-most levels of the organization. The individual should be a strong communicator with the ability to build enduring, trusting relationships and an understanding of how to accomplish objectives both directly and through influence in other areas of the business. Key Responsibilities:This position has full P&L accountability for growth, establishing and nurturing strategic external relationships with the State, providers, advocates, and community-based organizations ensuring compliance and sustainable profitability for all plans within the division. The ideal candidate will be well versed in all aspects of managed care, including Medical Management, Network, Value Based Contracting, Operations, Compliance, Business Development, Talent Acquisition and Talent Development.• Articulates a clear plan for growth, with a strong grasp of our Medicaid priorities, leveraging the strengths of the Enterprise.• Provides strategic direction and fosters a common vision and focus on business goals and objectives to meet and exceed revenue and membership for the division.• Reviews and approves Plan strategies by the CEOs in aligned division. Provides thought leadership for the Plans. • Develops and maintains knowledge of the Medicaid business across aligned division and anticipates the investments needed to meet emerging market needs. • Oversees the geographic portfolio development, implementing strategies to optimize growth and expansion. Monitors state conditions to identify and implement shifts in strategic direction as needed. • Cultivates strong internal relationships and connects with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment. • Challenges the status quo to lead CVS Health/Aetna transformation agenda. • Builds, strong cohesive leadership teams and develops initiatives to assure retention of highly competent and motivated workforce; develops talent at all levels to ensure succession, breath, depth, and diversity.
