Veritas bought Athenahealth for $5.7B. PE firm Veritas and fund manager Elliot Management bought the software company in November. Athena solutions track revenue across health systems. Plan is for Athena to merge with Virence Health (another Veritas acquisition). The Athena deal is the largest ever for Elliot.

Clearlake Capital to acquire Symplr. Symplr operates various compliance solutions, including provider enrollment software.  Announced October.

Civitas Solutions looking for buyers. The HCBS provider for members with disabilities is looking for potential buyers after BrightStar Health Services (another similar provider) announced preliminary offers in October. Civitas is working with Vestar Capital to broker a sale (Vestar currently has a 50% stake in Civitas, purchasing it in 2006).

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provider Action Behavior Centers gets next round of funding working with NextPhase Capital. Action operates clinics for autism patients across Texas and is expected to grow its footprint with the investment. Announced Oct.

LTSS solution provider OnShift gets equity investment from Clearlake. Announced Oct. OnShift provides various software as a service solutions to long term care providers.

Emergency medical transport firm Quick Med Claims gets new funding round working with PWP Growth Equity. Announced November. Quick Med provides revenue cycle management solutions to EMS clients. Currently operates in 38 states.
